Lastly, there are a number of Good Practice Examples/Case Studies of where local authorities and others have used Active Places Power. Sport England does run training courses on a regular basis, please contact your Regional Office for details. It should always be remembered that Active Places Power is a tool to help you understand what is going on in your area at the moment. It does not provide you with the ability to scenario test the impact of population projections, increases in participation or the impact of closing and opening facilities. Scenario testing can be done via the Facilities Planning Model. This is a chargeable service and is available through your Regional Office (subject to capacity). |
